October 10, 2008 – This is the Rules & Regulations agreement. Read it, understand it, live it. Oh, yeah … sign it and get one of your parents or guardians to sign it. There is also a view of the performance rubric.
Week of October 13 through October 17
1. WRITE DOWN ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS AND DUE DATES IN YOUR AGENDA AND CHECK HERE. I WILL BE MAKING A NOTE OF WHETHER OR NOT YOU WROTE THE ASSIGNMENTS AS PART OF THE PERFORMANCE RUBRIC.
2. GET A HOLD OF A THREE-RING BINDER NOTEBOOK AND TRANSPARENT SHEET PROTECTORS. WHAT YOU DO NOT PUT INTO THE FOLDER ON THE TABLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE WITH YOU AT HOME; YOU’LL NEED THESE PAPERS FOR DOING HOMEWORK AND STUDYING.

Week of January 4 through January 8
We will continue investigating and analyzing the Scramble for Africa, and the Age of Imperialism.
Week of January 11 through January 15
Same as last week and then we will be moving into the struggle for independence.
Week of January 18 through January 22
We will finish up Apartheid policies of South Africa with an introduction to Nelson Mandela, and the problems of HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Week of January 25 through January 29
Unit exam on Monday and then review for the midterm. The midterm will cover all the material we studied since September. More information about the midterm will be posted shortly – format, length, etc.
